A poem of Williamsburg

The year was 1912 A trolley rolled down The street As the majestic bell Rung and rung. The year is 2004 A big Bus With graffiti All over it Tumbles Down The Street The trolley stops People get on The shabby Vehicle The bus makes A stop Picks up people Enter a Clean Bus A small child Hangs onto a pole And leans outward To look at the Old streets A little kid Sits In a seat And tries to open The window But can't It won't budge The people deposit their small change The people deposit their MetroCards The trolley reaches The bus reaches The final stop The End of the line.
