Williamsburg, Brooklyn

How much does Brooklyn cost?

Times have changed. 100 years ago, you could buy candy, for a cent. Today, candy is a quarter and more. Plus tax. Back then, everyone would line up to get a loaf of fresh baked bread. Today, you just grab a bag off the counter. A century ago, Francie would say, "Can i have five cents worth on mint patties?" Today, Francie would say, "Can i get a peppermint patty for twenty-five cents?" Today, Cigars are $6.50 a pack. Back then, Boys would pick cigar butts off the street. For free.
